The Best of English Culture
On this tour, visit Stratford-Upon-Avon, a quaint English town on the edge of the Cotswolds known for being home to the famous playwright, William Shakespeare. Walk past the house that he was born in, built in the 1500s before our visit to his School Room in the historic Guildhall (entrance included). If time permits, explore the town with its many historic monuments, Royal Shakespeare Theatre & River Avon. We then take the scenic route to Oxford through the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). There will be brief photo stops at 1 or 2 of these picturesque villages en route if time permits. We also visit Oxford, home of Oxford University. Your tour guide will take you on an interesting walking tour of some of the city's most beautiful and important sights. You will also have some free time to do some independent exploration of the city before we head back to London.
